The new visitor trail showcasing Scotland’s iconic Forth Bridges features NovaDura’s ecoDURA product.
High Pressure Laminate in 13mm thickness with a distinctive black core was selected for the interpretation and orientation signage in this project co-ordinated by The Paul Hogarth Company.
The Forth Bridges Trail is a five-mile circular route bringing together 16 points of interest in the historic communities of North & South Queensferry and along the Forth Road Bridge.
Designed to reflect the famous red steelwork of the original Forth Bridge, awarded UNESO World Heritage Site status in 2015.
The signs marking points of interest along the trail, display historical facts, local tales and folklore in locations giving panoramic views of the three Bridges along the Firth of the Forth.
Included are trail signs to look out for the world’s smallest working lighthouse, the rock ledges where ferries landed, and Hawes Inn, mentioned in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Kidnapped.
Featuring illustrated maps, images each panel has a QR code linking to further information on the Forth Bridges website.
Developed by the Forth Bridges Tourism Group, the trail is designed to encourage visitors to explore the area further, on both sides of the Forth.
Furthermore, support the area’s year-round tourism businesses such as; boat trips, outdoor activities, visitor attractions, cafes and restaurants, independent retailers and accommodation providers.
