Project: Balancing heritage sensitivity with modern fabrication and protection
Project: Balancing heritage sensitivity with modern fabrication and protection
To create a bespoke feature panel celebrating the Welsh poet Islwyn Ffowc Elis, one of the most influential Welsh writers of the twentieth century.
The panel needed to respectfully present archival photography and written content while creating a visually engaging installation suitable for public display.
The project required:
Balancing heritage sensitivity with modern fabrication and protection was key.
NOVADURA fabricated a bespoke tray-style panel incorporating a precision return fold along one edge to achieve the desired aesthetic and structural integrity.
Fixing points were integrated along the top edge, ensuring secure installation directly onto brickwork while maintaining a clean, considered appearance.
Our high-resolution print process enhanced the historic photography, restoring clarity and depth while maintaining authenticity. Vibrant colour detailing and carefully presented typography ensured the panel was both informative and visually engaging.
The installation was finished with our primaDURA anti-graffiti coating, providing enhanced durability and protection against vandalism, ensuring the panel remains visually striking and easy to maintain within a public setting.
This project demonstrates NOVADURA’s ability to combine bespoke fabrication, heritage-sensitive design and high-performance finishes, delivering public signage that is both meaningful and built to last.
