ecoDURA High Pressure Laminate Systems
High Pressure Laminate for External Signage & Cladding Applications
ecoDURA is a high pressure laminate (HPL) signage system manufactured for external, public-facing and environmentally exposed applications requiring strong resistance to weathering, moisture, graffiti and surface wear.
Designed for heritage interpretation, wayfinding, architectural cladding and public infrastructure projects, ecoDURA combines high-definition print quality with recyclable material construction and long-term environmental resistance.
Manufactured using phenolic resin impregnated kraft paper under high pressure and thermo-hardening processes, ecoDURA systems are produced using PEFC sourced pulp and solvent-free inks.

About ecoDURA
ecoDURA high pressure laminate systems are manufactured using resin impregnation and thermoforming processes designed to provide strong resistance to moisture, weather exposure, impact and external environmental conditions.
The sealed surface construction prevents water ingress through both the panel face and edges, making ecoDURA suitable for exposed external environments, wet areas and specialist applications requiring long-term moisture resistance.
The printed image is fused beneath protective melamine and UV-resistant surface layers, creating a sub-surface print finish that helps resist graffiti, abrasion and environmental wear while maintaining high-definition print quality.
ecoDURA surfaces are not open pore, supporting easy-clean and low-maintenance performance across public-facing environments.
This makes ecoDURA particularly suited to healthcare, laboratory and educational environments requiring hygienic easy-clean surface performance.
Environmental & Surface Performance
ecoDURA systems are specified across applications requiring robust environmental resistance combined with long-term visual consistency and low maintenance.
Applications include:
- Heritage interpretation panels
- Wayfinding signage systems
- Public information signage
- Architectural cladding
- Wet environment applications
- Coastal and exposed external environments
- Public infrastructure projects
- Two-sided printed signage systems
ecoDURA systems are resistant to moisture, mould growth, rot, UV exposure and a wide range of environmental conditions encountered across demanding external installations.
ecoDURA systems are also widely specified for interpretation panels, coastal signage and public-facing wayfinding applications requiring long-term environmental durability and low maintenance.
Most graffiti or surface defacement can generally be removed using cleaning agents including white spirits, alcohol or acetone.
Fire & Material Performance
ecoDURA systems are manufactured for applications requiring fire-tested surface performance and durable external construction.
Testing and certifications include:
- BS 476-6:1989+A1:2009 (Class O)
- BS 476-7:1997 (Class 1)
- BS EN 438:2016 Parts 1 & 2
- EN ISO 4892:2016 Accelerated Ageing
The material composition and fire-tested properties also support the use of ecoDURA within architectural cladding and public-facing infrastructure applications.

ecoDURA panels are manufactured using phenolic resin impregnated kraft paper compressed under high pressure and thermo-hardening processes to create a dense engineered laminate system.
Printed graphics are fused beneath protective melamine and UV-resistant surface layers, creating a durable sub-surface print finish designed for exposed external environments.
The sealed panel construction helps prevent moisture ingress through both the face and panel edges whilst maintaining dimensional stability and long-term surface consistency.
All panels are quality checked prior to dispatch and supplied in protective packaging.
Upon delivery, packaging should be inspected for visible damage before signing with the carrier. Any visible damage should be photographed and recorded immediately.
If panels are to be stored prior to installation, they should be kept flat, level and under cover, raised clear of the ground to prevent distortion.
Panels should always be lifted individually and never dragged or slid across one another during handling.
