NOVADURA antimicrobial signage systems are manufactured for healthcare, food production, laboratory, agricultural and public-facing environments where hygiene and surface protection are critical.
Produced within the primaDURA aluminium range, systems incorporate BioCote® antimicrobial technology using integrated silver-ion technology designed to continuously reduce microbial contamination across the signage surface.
Unlike surface-applied antimicrobial treatments, BioCote® protection is embedded within the material itself, providing continuous antimicrobial performance throughout the operational lifespan of the signage system.

The antimicrobial protection works continuously to help inhibit the growth of bacteria, mould and fungi whilst also reducing odour and staining caused by microbial contamination.
BioCote® technology is independently tested against a wide range of clinically significant microorganisms including:

Unlike antibacterial treatments that target bacteria only, antimicrobial protection provides broader surface protection against:

The integrated protection is embedded within the material rather than applied as a surface coating, helping maintain cleaner surfaces throughout the operational lifespan of the signage.
Products are tested in accordance with ISO 22196:2011, the recognised international standard for measuring antibacterial activity on non-porous surfaces.
Testing measures the reduction of viable bacteria following controlled incubation periods using recognised bacterial samples including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
