Royal Burgess Golfing Society required a replacement signage scheme to support visitor navigation, clubhouse identification and on-course wayfinding throughout the golf course.
The signage needed to reflect the high standards of one of Scotland’s most established golf clubs whilst providing long-term durability within an exposed outdoor environment. Applications included clubhouse signage, directional signs and golf course waymarkers positioned across the site.
Maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout the course was an important requirement, ensuring members and visitors could easily navigate the facilities whilst reinforcing the club’s branding and presentation.
Golf course signage remains exposed to the elements year-round and must continue to perform despite prolonged UV exposure, rainfall, temperature fluctuations, and routine grounds maintenance.
The challenge was to deliver a signage solution capable of maintaining appearance, legibility and structural performance over the long term whilst complementing the character of the course and clubhouse environment.
In addition to durability, the signage needed to provide a consistent visual language across multiple applications, from building identification and directional signage through to wayfinding and visitor information.
NOVADURA supplied a combination of primaDURA, ecoDURA, and reproDURA materials to create a cohesive signage scheme across the golf course and clubhouse.
primaDURA was utilised for directional and wayfinding signage requiring long-term resistance to weathering, UV exposure and surface wear. ecoDURA High Pressure Laminate provided a durable solution for applications requiring robust outdoor performance and minimal maintenance.
To complement the surrounding landscape, reproDURA decorative finishes were incorporated where a more natural appearance was required, helping the signage integrate with the wider golf course environment whilst maintaining the durability advantages of engineered materials.
The completed scheme delivered a consistent, professional appearance throughout the site whilst providing the long-term performance required for a premium golfing environment.
